Bill Kuehnbaum

Director, Evangelical Lutheran Foundation of Eastern Canada

Bill is a director of the Evangelical Lutheran Foundation of Eastern Canada. He is a former trustee and chair of the Investment committee of the Pension Plan of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. Prior to retiring, Bill was a professor of Mathematics and a former officer of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).

Bill began his teaching career at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario in 1970 where he taught statistics, calculus, basic business math, and mathematics of finance.  He retired in 2003. He was elected First-Vice President and Treasurer of OPSEU from 1990-1997, where he was responsible for the financial affairs of this 100,000-member union. From 2003-2006 he served as a member of the Board of the Sudbury Training and Adjustment Committee.

Since his retirement, Bill occasionally teaches weekend courses to union stewards on how pension plans work. In addition, he has served on numerous volunteer boards and is an active member of the Lutheran Church in Ontario. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics degree and a Masters of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.
