Shannon Rohan
Director of Responsible Investment
Shannon provides strategic leadership, project management, and research and analysis for SHARE’s responsible investment program.
Shannon brings more than six years of experience working with non-profit and non-governmental organizations both in Canada and internationally. Prior to joining SHARE, Shannon worked with the Johannesburg-based African Institute of Corporate Citizenship where she conducted research on responsible investment in Africa and helped to establish the Centre for Sustainability Investing. Shannon has conducted training with the International Finance Corporation and sat on the African Task Force of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative. She has also worked on community development initiatives with Rotary International in Ecuador and in government affairs and policy analyst capacities with Canada’s credit union and cooperative sectors.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University as well as a Masters in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. Shannon has written and published in the areas of sustainability finance, the social economy and corporate social responsibility.
